A Meeting Between IO Leaders and Administration Team of GET: Preparing for Prestigious International Workshops

Cirebon, April 15, 2025 On April 15, 2025, the International Office of UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon held a small yet significant internal meeting to prepare for an upcoming international workshop. The meeting took place at the International Office’s main facility and was led by Mr. Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D., the Director of the International Office. Attending the session were Mrs. Ivo Dinasta Yanuar, M.Appling, serving as the Secretary of the office, along with members of the Global Engagement Administration Team. The gathering aimed to ensure all administrative aspects were well-prepared for the high-profile event.

The primary focus of the meeting was on organizing the logistics and formal documentation required for the upcoming international workshop. This includes official invitations, coordination with foreign speakers, scheduling, and ensuring smooth communication between local and international parties. “We are not only preparing letters and documents, but also laying the groundwork for a seamless experience for our guests and participants,” said Mr. Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D.,  during the discussion. He emphasized that the success of such an event relies heavily on meticulous planning from the administrative side.

One of the key highlights of the meeting was finalizing the details regarding the participation of Mr. Matthew S. Sussman, a renowned language educator from the United States. Mr. Sussman will be introducing Flowspeak, a dynamic approach to language learning that has gained global attention in recent years. His involvement marks a significant step in enhancing UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon’s international academic engagement. The team discussed how his session could be best supported through technical arrangements, translation services, and participant coordination.

In addition to Mr. Sussman, the workshop will also feature Ms. Lina Suhairy from the International Cultural Communication Center Malaysia (ICCCM). She will provide comprehensive insights into internship and job opportunities available in Japan, particularly for Indonesian students and young professionals. Her session is expected to draw strong interest from both faculty and students who are keen to explore international career paths. The International Office is working closely with ICCCM to align the content of her presentation with the needs of the university community.

Throughout the meeting, the administration team reviewed various operational elements, including venue preparation, guest hospitality, and digital infrastructure for hybrid participation. They also mapped out timelines for sending out formal announcements and managing registrations. “It’s important that we maintain professionalism while also being flexible to accommodate last-minute changes,” said Mrs. Ivo Dinasta Yanuar, highlighting the importance of adaptability in event management. The team agreed on assigning specific roles to each member to ensure accountability and efficiency.

Mr. Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D., expressed confidence in the capabilities of the Global Engagement Team and praised their proactive approach in handling complex preparations.
