Acknowledging a Historic Milestone: Lala Bumela Commends EDSA as the First Student Association to Host an International Competition at UIN SSC
Cirebon, September, 30th 2025 — In a groundbreaking achievement for UIN SSC, the English Department Student Association (EDSA) successfully elevated its annual English Contest, E-CON 2025, to an international platform with the support of the International Office. The initiative, spearheaded by Lala Bumela, Ph.D., Director of the International Office, drew attention across campus for its unprecedented scale. On a visit to the office, Muhammad Fadil, EDSA Chairman, and Asyrof Bahauddin Mubarok, a member, presented a token of appreciation, symbolizing the deep gratitude of their organization.
