Strengthening Global Engagement: International Office Achieves Higher AMI Score in 2025
Cirebon, 25 September 2025 — Under the leadership of Lala Bumela, Ph.D., Director of the International Office, UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon successfully carried out the Internal Quality Audit (AMI) on Thursday, 25 September 2025. The activity took place at the International Office, 5th floor of the Siber Building, with auditors Varidlo Fuad, M.Pd. and Nizar Ibnus, M.Pd. present. Also attending were Ivo Yanuar Dinasta, S.S., M.Appling., Secretary of the International Office, and Gina Amalia Sholihah, S.Sos., staff of the International Office and Global Engagement Team. “Audit Mutu Internal is not only an evaluation, but also our commitment to continuously improve services and strengthen the role of the International Office in supporting the university’s global vision,” said Lala Bumela, Ph.D.
This year’s audit reflects the International Office’s strong determination to consistently ensure the quality of its programs and activities. The presence of auditors allowed for a comprehensive evaluation, including identifying strengths, areas of improvement, and challenges that need to be addressed. By embracing this audit as a reflective process, the International Office reaffirms its position as a key driver in campus internationalization. The unit not only facilitates academic collaboration but also creates real impacts for students, lecturers, and partners across the globe.
In his remarks, Lala Bumela, Ph.D. emphasized that the audit is a way to align strategic steps with the university’s broader goals. “Through this process, we can map out our achievements while also being honest with the challenges we face, so that the International Office can remain agile and forward-looking,” he stated. One of the highlights of this year’s AMI was the significant improvement in performance scores. In 2024, the International Office achieved a score of 289.5, which rose sharply to 334.2 in 2025. This leap demonstrates tangible progress in implementing quality standards and performance management across the unit. The increase is not only a number, but also proof of hard work, systematic planning, and a strong culture of accountability that the International Office continues to uphold.
The active participation of the International Office team also became a crucial element in the audit’s success. By collaborating closely with the auditors, the team was able to exchange insights and document areas that require follow-up action.
