Contract Signed, New Chapter Begins: Four Nigerian Students Officially Join UIN SSC as SN-GES 2025 Awardees
CIREBON, September 22, 2025 — Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D., Director of the International Office at UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon (UIN SSC), welcomed four students from Nigeria who were set to officially sign their contracts today as awardees of the Syekh Nurjati Global Excellence Scholarship (SN-GES) 2025. The awardees are Aliyu Masaudu (Islamic Broadcasting and Communication), Muhammad Bello Abbas (Islamic Accounting), Haruna Musa Balarabe (Islamic Economics), and Umar Abba (Qur’anic Studies and Tafsir). “Their presence here is not only an academic achievement but also a bridge to strengthen collaboration between nations,” Lala Bumela emphasized.
The contract signing process was held at the International Office, located on the 5th floor of the UIN SSC Cyber Building, following the eight other awardees who officially became UIN SSC students since the Inauguration Ceremony on September 11, 2025. This milestone reflects the university’s dedication to becoming a hub for international students in the field of Islamic higher education, while at the same time expanding its global academic outreach.
Before the signing, the awardees attended a welcoming session where Lala Bumela introduced several important policies and contractual guidelines that the students will adhere to throughout their scholarship period. These included academic regulations, health insurance provisions, and the requirement to reside at Ma’had al-Jami’ah for the duration of their study. “We want to ensure that every international student at UIN SSC feels supported, guided, and part of our academic family,” he highlighted.
The contract signing officially confirmed their status as awardees under the SN GES 2025 program.
