Final Countdown to AsiaCALL 2025: International Office of UIN SSC Finalizes Every Detail for a World-Class Conference Experience
Cirebon, November 10, 2025 — Four days before the highly anticipated AsiaCALL 2025 Conference, the Global Engagement Team (GET) of the International Office of UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon (UIN SSC) entered its final phase of preparation. Under the direction of Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D., Director of the International Office, the team worked intensively to ensure every detail met international standards. This stage marked the culmination of weeks of planning, coordination, and rehearsals by all divisions involved. Every member of the GET played a crucial role in supporting the upcoming conference, reflecting their growing professionalism and commitment. The International Office served as the coordination hub, buzzing with activity and focus as the event drew near. The sense of responsibility and enthusiasm among the team was palpable, showing that the university’s internationalization efforts are in capable hands.
Throughout the preparation, GET members engaged in various key activities essential for the smooth execution of AsiaCALL 2025. They managed room reservations on the 4th and 7th floors of the Cyber building for parallel sessions, revised the official conference guidebook, and selected persons-in-charge (PICs) for consumption and merchandise distribution. Detailed schedules were created to organize all of the conference materials. Additionally, the team sent out presentation guidelines and templates to all AsiaCALL presenters, ensuring consistent formatting and quality across sessions. These activities reflected the professionalism and strong teamwork that define the International Office’s operation.
As the clock ticks closer to the event, the atmosphere at the International Office has become increasingly dynamic and intense. Despite the pressure, the GET members continued to show remarkable energy, dedication, and excitement for the event. The team’s strong commitment helped them overcome challenges and maintain focus throughout the busy schedule. Each member understood the importance of their contribution, recognizing that AsiaCALL’s success depended on collective effort. The preparation period also provided valuable real-world experience for the GET, as they practiced leadership, communication, and coordination skills under tight deadlines. Their passion and persistence reflected the vibrant academic culture of UIN SSC.
Lala Bumela, Ph.D. expressed his confidence and pride in the team’s dedication and readiness for the international conference. “This year, we aim to deliver a smoother, more impactful, and more inspiring AsiaCALL than last year,” he said. “I believe this conference will not only showcase academic excellence but also highlight the spirit of collaboration and innovation that defines UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon.” His encouragement boosted the team’s motivation, reminding everyone that AsiaCALL is not just a conference, but also a reflection of the university’s global engagement vision. Lala Bumela, Ph.D.’s presence throughout the preparation week provided direction, constructive feedback, and assurance to the organizing committee. His leadership has been instrumental in uniting both staff and internship students toward a common international goal.
The final week was also marked by detailed logistical finalization, ensuring that all documents, equipment, and materials for speakers, guests, and committees were properly organized. GET members conducted checklists for every division to prevent last-minute errors. The attention to detail extended to the preparation of ID cards, merchandise packaging, and transportation arrangements. Moreover, continuous communication was maintained with AsiaCALL speakers to confirm their arrival schedules and shuttle assignments. The upcoming official rehearsal on Thursday will serve as the ultimate test run before the main event. Through this structured process, the committee demonstrated its commitment to professionalism and quality assurance.
As UIN SSC prepares to host AsiaCALL 2025 from November 14–16, the entire International Office team looks forward to presenting an event that embodies academic collaboration and cultural connection. Beyond ensuring the success of the conference, Lala Bumela, Ph.D. hopes that this experience will serve as valuable training for GET members to develop global competencies and organizational skills for the future. The GET members will not only serve as committee but also as moderators and presenters during the event, showcasing their confidence and communication skills on an international stage. Whether behind the scenes or in front of the audience, every participant contributes to a collective mission—to represent UIN SSC as a hub of innovation, collaboration, and global engagement.
