Final Preparations: Ahead of CILEM Launch, IO UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon Strengthens Coordination with CILEM Team

Cirebon, July 07, 2025 — In preparation for the official launch of CILEM (Centre of Islamic Laws and Ethics of Mubadalah), the International Office (IO) team of UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon held a final meeting with the CILEM team several hours before the event began. The meeting was conducted in a semi-formal atmosphere that was focused yet harmonious. The event opened with the recitation of Basmalah and Surah Al-Fatihah as an opening prayer for smooth and blessed preparations. Present at the meeting were IO members and representatives from the CILEM team.

This meeting focused on the final review of all preparation aspects, particularly those that already meet international and professional standards, as well as aspects that still need refinement. "We must ensure everything is orderly, from information delivery, event management, to service hospitality," said Lala Bumela, Ph.D., Director of International Office when opening the meeting. Every detail was scrutinized carefully, from the event rundown, logistics, catering, to job description distribution for each team. Nothing was overlooked because the university's reputation and the event's credibility depend on precise execution.

One important point that became the focus was the conformity of event protocols with international standards. The IO team ensured that the event flow was designed professionally, with tight timing and appropriate language delivery for a global audience. The guest handling system, particularly for foreign delegates, has also been thoroughly prepared, including reception procedures and assistance. Additionally, information systems both offline and online such as websites and social media have been updated to provide a consistent image that is easily accessible to international participants.

Physical logistics such as seminar room equipment and event documents have also been prepared with designs that reflect Islamic nuances and professionalism. Catering has also been arranged to be delicious and hygienic. "We want guests to feel comfortable, not only in the event content, but also in daily service," explained Lala Bumela, Ph.D. Catering service providers have also received special briefings to arrive on time.

Task distribution among teams has been clearly structured to avoid overlap and increase efficiency during the event. Each team member, both from IO and CILEM, already knows their respective job descriptions well. The meeting concluded with a brief Q&A session to ensure all parties are ready and no technical issues are overlooked.

With time drawing closer, tension begins to be felt, but optimism and team cooperation spirit remain strong. This meeting became an important moment to unite the vision and ensure that each individual is on the right track. The International Office plays a central role in maintaining event quality to reflect the standards of a globally-oriented university. With thorough preparation and high commitment from all parties, the CILEM launch is expected to be a strong initial step in developing mubadalah-based Islamic studies on the international stage.
