International Office of UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon Reviews Potential Health Insurance Collaboration with AIA Financial

Cirebon, July 28, 2025  The International Office of UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon held a virtual meeting with AIA Financial to explore the potential collaboration for the CHS (Corporate Health Solution) insurance program. The session was attended by representatives from the International Office, including Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D, and featured a detailed presentation by Mr. Nuh Prabowo from AIA, and Mr. Adrianto-A. The discussion focused on how CHS might be integrated into the welfare scheme for staff members under the International Office’s care.

Mr. Nuh Prabowo introduced key features of the CHS program, emphasizing its flexibility and inclusive approach to employee health benefits. Notably, the program offers cashless inpatient and outpatient services, a 14-day reinstatement benefit, and daily cash allowances for those who use BPJS procedures. The program also includes coverage for outpatient medication and offers competitive premiums that remain the same across different age groups. Participants also benefit from AIA’s 24-hour employee care hotline and access to a web-based system and mobile app.

One of the highlights presented was the program’s ability to include spouses and children under the same policy, with adjustable premiums depending on the number of dependents. “Our aim is to support employees not only individually but also as part of a family unit,” Mr. Nuh explained during the meeting. Moreover, AIA guarantees policy renewal each year with no premium increase, as long as terms remain unchanged—offering a sense of long-term stability and commitment.

During the session, the AIA team also outlined several important exclusions. These included congenital illnesses, cosmetic or plastic procedures, alternative medicine (such as treatment from traditional healers), and any conditions related to substance dependency. In addition, any injuries caused by violent incidents, riots, or unlawful behavior would not be covered. This transparency helped the International Office team to evaluate both the opportunities and the limitations of the CHS program realistically.

For the International Office, the meeting wasn't just about reviewing an insurance offer—it was about laying the foundation for a more resilient and supported working environment. With the fast-paced nature of international collaboration, mobility programs, and student services, staff health plays a central role in maintaining quality and performance. “We want to ensure our team is not only professionally supported but personally protected as well,” one team member noted during the exchange.

The discussion also reflected the International Office’s long-term commitment to improving internal systems to better serve both staff and international stakeholders. Given the increasing complexity of international academic cooperation, the need for comprehensive and reliable support systems has become more pressing. Integrating a program like CHS could strengthen the office’s ability to operate efficiently while maintaining staff well-being.

The meeting concluded with a positive outlook and a plan to continue discussions at the internal leadership level. The International Office expressed its appreciation for AIA’s clear and informative presentation and will assess how the program could fit into its existing employee care structure. Any further steps, including possible piloting of the program, will be considered in upcoming coordination meetings.

With this initiative, the International Office once again demonstrates its dedication to sustainable development and people-centered leadership. As the office continues to expand its global reach, supporting the people behind the work remains a key priority.
