International Office of UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon Strengthens Global University Vision Through AIA Digital Support Demonstration for International Students

Cirebon, November 27, 2025 – The international students of UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon from Nigeria, Thailand, the Philippines, Yaman, and Senegal—a total of 19 participants—gathered for a fully hands-on digital demonstration of the AIA Support System held by the International Office (IO) under the leadership of Lala Bumela, Ph.D., Head of the International Office Center. From the very beginning, the IO emphasized that this session was designed specifically to train students step-by-step on operating the AIA digital insurance platform directly on their devices. “Our goal is to help students master real-time digital tools so they feel supported anytime, anywhere,” said Lala Bumela, Ph.D., highlighting the need for digital independence beyond office hours. The initiative reflects the IO’s institutional mission to elevate service quality for SN-GES scholars and GET members by offering practical, user-driven digital training. The atmosphere quickly turned into an active learning space as students prepared to follow each digital procedure together.

To ensure an effective and comprehensive demonstration, the IO brought together all institutional partners directly involved in the digital insurance workflow. University officials Ahmad Rofi'i, MA., L.M., Ph.D. and Dr. Naeda Rifatsi Muna attended to reinforce the importance of digital capability for student welfare and safety. From AIA, the technical team—Ariargo W. Putra, Adrianto, Meizar B. Kurniasari, Nuh Prabawa Laurens, Rofi Mutaaludin, and Dianti—guided students through the system features they would immediately practice. Ms. Gina, IO’s liaison and PIC for AIA, ensured that the session focused specifically on installation, registration, real-time claim submission, and live troubleshooting. Representatives from RS Medimas, Ayu and Anwar, contributed clear explanations of how digital submissions sync with hospital verification, strengthening the practicality of the demo. This united effort created a strong technical foundation for the intensive digital training session.

The heart of the event was the live digital demonstration, moderated by Tsamara from the Global Engagement Team (GET), who led the group with clarity and warm emotional pacing. The presenters walked students through the AIA Health & Insurance Application interface—demonstrating login, dashboard navigation, digital document uploads, reimbursement tracking, and hospital directory checks in real time. “We want our students to feel secure and capable in navigating their insurance digitally,” emphasized Lala Bumela, Ph.D., reinforcing the meaning behind each step. The demonstration was paced so that no student felt left behind, allowing them to mirror every action on their own devices. This method transformed a technical lesson into a confidence-building experience.

During the session, AIA delivered a detailed live demonstration led by Siee Alenor, showing international students exactly how to navigate the digital platform in real time. The demo began with the first step—downloading the AIA app through the official link provided on the screen, available both on Google Play and the App Store. Students were then guided to create an account using their scholarship ID, input their personal data, and verify their email before accessing the dashboard. After that, AIA explained how to check their reimbursement status, submit medical documents, locate partner hospitals, and access all emergency features directly from their phones. Ms. Gina, the PIC for AIA, emphasized that this system reduces waiting time and empowers students to handle urgent needs independently. Lala Bumela, Ph.D., warmly thanked AIA for this clarity, saying, “This demonstration ensures that our international students can take confident steps in managing their own wellbeing.”

A highlight moment came when Aleenor Langiles Sharif stepped forward to lead a peer-based digital demonstration, showing her classmates how to upload a sample reimbursement file and check hospital eligibility instantly. International students such as Tony Samula Guiaman, Adam Saraeh, Prince Adzhar Salisipan Duran, Raquema Bongoan Moten, Asia Samang, Balkis Song, Baby Farhana L. T., Alenor Langiles Sharif, Aliyu Masoad, Maja Aselah Lindongan Salisipan, Nadja Querod Cabuyao, along with Paojia Cabuyao Sucatan, Jadene Querod Zainal, Tasneem Wado, Umar Abba, Muhammad Bello Abbas, Haruna Musa Balarabe, and Hamid Njude Tabet Sharaf, practiced each step enthusiastically. Their engagement transformed the demo into a collaborative learning experience, with students helping one another through each feature. Many expressed relief at now being able to access insurance functions outside office hours. The atmosphere became filled with confidence and shared empowerment.

AIA representatives expressed appreciation for the students’ enthusiasm, stating that such hands-on engagement is not commonly found across campuses. At the same time, Lala Bumela, Ph.D. delivered heartfelt appreciation to AIA for their partnership, saying, “We truly appreciate AIA for strengthening our mission to deliver world-class digital support systems for our international community.” Ms. Gina and the GET team provided follow-up assistance to ensure every student completed their registration successfully. IO reminded participants that the AIA app is accessible through https://www.aia.co.id and is available on Google Play and the Apple App Store, encouraging continued exploration of the digital features. This collaborative support reinforced trust and emotional security among students.

In closing, the International Office reaffirmed its mission to elevate international student services through technology-centered empowerment as part of its commitment to bringing UIN SSC toward a Global University Unggul Mendunia. The GET team will continue providing guidance for those requiring additional digital support after the demo. “Your wellbeing is our responsibility, and we will continue guiding you with sincerity and professionalism,” concluded Lala Bumela, Ph.D. Her closing words left the room with a strong emotional impression and renewed confidence. The session ended with strengthened digital capability, deeper collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence across the international student community.
