International Office Takes the Lead: Strengthens Administrative Readiness for AsiaCALL 2025 International Conference
Cirebon, October 24, 2025 — Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D., Director of the International Office of UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon (UIN SSC), took the lead in coordinating the administrative preparation for the upcoming AsiaCALL 2025 International Conference. He ensured that all official correspondence, documentation, and verification were managed in line with international standards. “We are not only preparing for a conference, but also building stronger collaboration across countries,” said Lala Bumela, Ph.D. The preparation involved coordinating with the Global Engagement Team to finalize institutional requirements and ensure timely submissions. His leadership highlighted the importance of accuracy, transparency, and teamwork in every process. This initiative strengthens the International Office’s commitment to maintaining professionalism and reliability in global academic cooperation.
The administrative handling covered a wide range of essential tasks such as verifying participant data, confirming institutional permissions, and preparing official documents. Every stage required careful attention to detail and strong internal coordination. The Global Engagement Team played a crucial role in organizing data, proofreading files, and maintaining proper documentation. Regular meetings were conducted to monitor progress and uphold administrative standards. These consistent coordination efforts strengthened teamwork within the International Office and improved workflow efficiency. The process also built a stronger sense of responsibility among team members, showing how effective collaboration can ensure smooth and professional administrative preparation.
According to Lala Bumela, Ph.D., administrative readiness is the backbone of successful international collaboration. “Good preparation ensures that all requirements are completed on time and nothing is overlooked,” he said. Under his guidance, the Global Engagement Team carefully rechecked each document, verified data accuracy, and maintained constant coordination with the AsiaCALL committee. The process also required following up on approvals, arranging important schedules, and keeping communication records well-documented. Every step was handled with professionalism and teamwork, reflecting the International Office’s strong commitment to reliability. This consistent coordination not only kept the process on track but also strengthened trust between the university and international partners.
One of the most demanding aspects of the preparation was financial administration. Due to the rigid budgeting system, every financial document had to go through several revisions to meet institutional standards and comply with verification procedures. The process required precise calculation, detailed documentation, and continuous communication between the finance division and the International Office. Although the revisions took time, they ensured transparency and accountability in financial management. The Global Engagement Team learned to adapt quickly to these corrections and maintained clear records of every adjustment. This stage became a valuable demonstration of how careful financial administration supports institutional credibility and long-term efficiency.
Beyond its technical function, the preparation process also became a valuable learning experience for the Global Engagement Team members. They learned about international document handling, intercultural correspondence, and time management within a professional setting. The experience gave them practical insight into how global academic events are prepared behind the scenes. Through this project, students and staff developed stronger teamwork and communication skills. Their involvement also demonstrated how administrative work can serve as a form of experiential learning. It shows how the International Office integrates global engagement with capacity building for future professionals.
As the preparation enters its final stage, Lala Bumela, Ph.D., expressed his appreciation for the dedication of everyone involved. “This achievement is the result of collaboration, trust, and hard work,” he stated. The International Office and the Global Engagement Team will continue finalizing the remaining documents and correspondence before the AsiaCALL 2025 International Conference officially begins. Their consistent effort ensures that all administrative aspects are ready to support the event smoothly. The success of this preparation demonstrates the university’s growing competence in managing global partnerships. With strong teamwork and commitment, the International Office sets a new example of excellence in administrative coordination for international academic events.
