International Office UIN SSC Secures Global-Standard Insurance for SN-GES Students
Cirebon, 26 September 2025 — Under the leadership of Lala Bumela, Ph.D., Director of the International Office, UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon officially signed the insurance documents in collaboration with AIA Assurance, specifically for international students of 2024 and 2025 who are recipients of the SN-GES scholarship. The signing was attended by Lala Bumela together with the Global Engagement Team (GET), marking an important milestone in safeguarding student welfare. “Providing comprehensive health insurance is our responsibility to ensure that international students can focus fully on their academic journey without worrying about unexpected risks,” said Lala Bumela, Ph.D.
The insurance program covers 22 international students from diverse countries, including the Philippines, Thailand, Sudan, Senegal, Nigeria, and Yemen. By extending protection against accidents, illness, and other health-related issues, the International Office demonstrates its strong commitment to student well-being. This initiative not only strengthens the sense of security among international students but also reflects UIN SSC’s vision of building an inclusive and supportive academic environment.
