International Office UINSSC Advances Its Global Support Framework as AIA Official Ariargo W. Putra Delivers a Strategic Opening on Comprehensive Insurance, Responsive Claim Systems, and Strengthened Health Literacy for SN-GES International Students
Cirebon, November, 27th 2025 — In line with the continuous enhancement of global student services for the recipients of the Syekh Nurjati–Global e Scholarship (SN-GES), Lala Bumela, Ph.D., Director of International Office UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, spearheaded a comprehensive insurance socialization program in collaboration with American International Assurance (AIA) as the keynote presenter and Rumah Sakit Medimas Cirebon. The event was formally attended by Dr. Arief Rachman, M.Si. (Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Da’wah and Islamic Communication – FDKI) and Dr. Naeila Rifatul Muna, M.Pd.I. (Vice Dean II of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab – FUA). Representatives of AIA Assurance included Ariargo W. Putra, Adrianto, Meizar B. Kurniasari, Nuh Prabwa Laurens, Rofi Mutaaludin, and Diati, while Anwar and Ayu represented Rumah Sakit Medimas. The program was also joined by 19 international students from the Philippines, Thailand, Yemen, Nigeria, and Sudan, as well as three mudabbir of Ma’had al-Jami’ah UINSSC and the Global Engagement Team (International Office internship students) who served as the logistical and technical committee. Following the welcoming remarks from Lala Bumela, Ariargo W. Putra opened the session by emphasizing the crucial introduction of AIA Assurance to international students as the campus-trusted partner responsible for managing their insurance ecosystem as a risk-mitigation shield. “Today, we aim not only to introduce AIA but to ensure every international student knows exactly how their protection works, how it will serve them, and how it stands by them when the unexpected occurs,” asserted Ariargo.
In his continued delivery, Ariargo W. Putra expressed deep appreciation to Lala Bumela, Ph.D., acknowledging his visionary approach in ensuring that the welfare of international students remains a top priority and continues to develop on a structural and sustainable basis. Ariargo highlighted that UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon is the first university in Indonesia to implement an insurance mechanism of such guaranteed and comprehensive quality for its international students, marking a new benchmark in global education services. He reinforced the importance of academic focus over unnecessary anxieties: international students should fully concentrate on their studies without worrying about health uncertainties, financial disruptions, or administrative complications. “International students must be free to learn, explore, and grow — and not be burdened by the fear of illness or unexpected risks while studying abroad,” emphasized Ariargo.
During the dialogue segment, Ariargo W. Putra firmly explained that AIA stands among the Top 3 most reliable insurance institutions in Indonesia, built upon a service model that prioritizes real-time responsiveness, transparency, and convenience. He elaborated on the medical support architecture covering inpatient and outpatient treatments, including broad hospital access, step-by-step claim assistance, and 24-hour service availability. The international students were also introduced to AIA’s adaptive approach to health management that integrates modern medical support, responsive facility coordination, and guidance on preventive care — forming a comprehensive safety net designed specifically for international mobility in the Asian region.
The developmental portion of the program unfolded through an in-depth narration of AIA’s operational mechanisms, demonstrating how students can effectively navigate medical emergencies without confusion or financial hardship. Through case-based simulations and interactive mapping, Ariargo illustrated the procedure flow from the moment a health incident occurs to the finalization of claim disbursement, highlighting key touchpoints such as documentation preparation, direct hospital coordination, and physician referrals. Rumah Sakit Medimas subsequently reinforced the presentation with a medical orientation segment, allowing students to understand the health facilities available to them and how their insurance integrates with clinical protocols at a practical, actionable level.
The resolution segment brought the international students into direct application through hands-on demonstrations of claim filing, hotline communication, hospital reporting, and benefit tracking — transforming insurance from a theoretical system into a survival competency. Students showed increased confidence in managing unexpected medical situations and expressed relief knowing that a fully structured support system exists to protect them during their studies. The collaboration strengthened the International Office’s global support model by ensuring that the welfare of international students is upheld not only through administrative upkeep but through health literacy, risk preparedness, and accessible real-time assistance.
In the final reflection, Ariargo delivered a powerful message that tied the importance of health protection to a student’s long-term academic vision and global contribution. He reminded the participants that their lives, potential, and future impact deserve safeguarding beyond the classroom. “Your dreams matter too much to be weakened by preventable risks — protect your health, and your knowledge will take you farther than borders ever could,” stated Ariargo with deep emphasis. The International Office affirmed that this initiative marks only the beginning of a wider global support framework that will evolve through ongoing workshops, monitoring programs, and institutional partnerships — ensuring that every international student at UINSSC is not only educated, but protected, valued, and empowered.
