IO UIN SSC Concludes AsiaCALL 2025 with a Post-Event Online Meeting Led by Lala Bumela, Ph.D., Focusing on Accountability, Appreciation, and Future Global Engagements
Cirebon, November, 16th 2025 — Following the monumental success of The 22nd AsiaCALL International Conference 2025, the International Office of UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon immediately proceeded with a comprehensive post-event evaluation led by its Director, Lala Bumela, Ph.D., who also served as the President of the AsiaCALL 2025 Conference. Conducted virtually via Zoom, the meeting brought together the entire Global Engagement Team (GET), who had served simultaneously as committee members, presenters, participants, and operational pillars throughout the conference. In his opening remarks, Lala Bumela, Ph.D. expressed deep gratitude and pride for the team’s extraordinary dedication, stating, “AsiaCALL 2025 succeeded because of our relentless commitment to elevating this university into a truly global institution.” He also conveyed the appreciation of the AsiaCALL leadership—Professor Andrew Lian (President), Professor Ania Lian (Vice President), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Vu Phi Ho, the newly appointed AsiaCALL President—who collectively praised UIN SSC for hosting one of the most impactful editions of the conference. According to Lala Bumela, Ph.D., this recognition is not only a milestone for UIN SSC’s international standing but also a promising indicator for the future, especially as the AsiaCALL leadership expressed its desire to return to Cirebon for another conference cycle in the next five years, signaling sustained trust in UIN SSC’s capabilities as a rising global Islamic cyber university.
Despite the celebratory atmosphere, the post-event meeting also highlighted the substantial responsibilities that follow the conclusion of a major international conference. Lala Bumela, Ph.D. emphasized that maintaining institutional credibility requires careful attention to administrative and logistical tasks. The team reviewed several items requiring immediate action: financial accountability and reporting, documentation and publication workflows, follow-up communication with keynote speakers, and the management of borrowed equipment used throughout the conference. These tasks came at a time when nearly all committee members were still recovering from days of intense preparation, late-night coordination, and on-site responsibilities. Nonetheless, Lala Bumela, Ph.D. reminded everyone that excellence is sustained through discipline, noting that the rhythm from pre-event to event to post-event must remain consistent to uphold international standards.
