Cirebon, January 11, 2025 — IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon connected with SEAMEO QITEP in Language (SEAQIL) in a virtual strategy session to launch a new era of collaboration.

Led by Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D. and Prof. Dr. Hajam, the meeting focused on boosting teaching, research, and community service as part of IAIN’s journey toward becoming a World-Class University by 2030. SEAQIL welcomed the partnership and encouraged deeper ties with other SEAMEO centers , including possible tech-driven projects and faculty engagement.

A cooperation agreement is coming soon—with action starting in February 2024 . IAIN also eyes collaboration with SEAQIS for science-focused growth.

IAIN Cirebon Initiates Global Steps: Innovative Collaboration with ICCCM Malaysia towards an International Campus

Cirebon, January 19, 2024 — IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon took another leap toward global excellence through a productive virtual meeting with the International Cultural Communication Center Malaysia (ICCCM) .

Led by Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D. and Prof. Dr. Hajam, M.Ag. , the IAIN team expressed eagerness to collaborate in areas spanning education, culture, student mobility, double degree programs, and soft skills development . ICCCM, represented by Mr. Ivan Habibilah , welcomed the partnership and offered support in connecting IAIN with global institutions across 42 countries under the International Transnational Education Association (ITEA) umbrella.

A cooperation agreement is set to be signed soon—marking the start of a strategic alliance aimed at boosting IAIN’s international visibility and educational innovation.

Cirebon, April 1, 2024 — IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon made waves on the global stage by joining the EMPM (Executive Master in Public Management) Program Batch 1 orientation—a collaborative effort with universities across Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, and the Philippines. In partnership with Nuffic , IAIN Cirebon is now part of the EU Mobility Programme for Myanmar (EMPM) , offering a Virtual Top-Up Scholarship that empowers students to complete their degrees online with access to world-class resources.

This initiative includes a Distance Learning (PJJ) program in Islamic Education (PAI)—with plans to expand into PGMI (Elementary School Teacher Education), PBA (Arabic Language Education), and Master’s in PAI for Batch 2. By embracing international collaboration and digital education, IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon continues its mission to make quality Islamic education accessible to all—bridging borders, breaking barriers.

Led by experienced facilitator Mr. Syarifuddin, S.S. , the workshop covered key topics such as effective writing techniques, presentation strategies, and how to overcome public speaking anxiety. International Online Workshop

Cirebon, August 24, 2024 — In an exciting academic collaboration, Charles Darwin University (Australia), UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, and IAIN Palangkaraya successfully held a virtual workshop titled "Advancing Emotional Literacy and Social Equity through ChatGPT and the Reading for Emotion Model."

Held simultaneously at 7:30 AM Jakarta time and 10:00 AM Darwin time, the event drew enthusiastic participation from educators, researchers, and students across the region. The workshop explored the crucial role of emotional literacy in fostering social equity, with a strong focus on integrating AI tools like ChatGPT to support this goal.

Participants engaged in sessions covering concept formation, methods of work, AI integration, and practical troubleshooting, guided by expert speakers from the participating institutions.

The Inauguration of SN-GES 2024 Recipients

Cirebon, September 13, 2024—The International Office & Partnership (IOP) of UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, also known as the Cyber Islamic University (CIU), successfully held an International Focus Group Discussion (IFGD) titled "Gender Dynamics in the Islamic World". The event featured experts from five Asian countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Pakistan on Wednesday (October 16, 2024). The IFGD brought together 12 international speakers, all of whom are specialists in their respective fields, offering various insights on gender dynamics in the context of the Islamic world.

This IFGD, which is part of UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon's ongoing efforts to strengthen international academic collaboration, aimed to explore gender relations, the role of women, and the status of women in Islamic societies. With growing global attention on gender equality issues, the event highlighted how these issues intersect with Islamic teachings, local traditions, and modern challenges.
