Pioneering Digital Excellence: International Office UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Launches Revolutionary BIMA Framework Logo and Empowers Global Content Creators in Landmark Workshop
Cirebon, July 23, 2025 — In an era where technology evolves at lightning speed, the world has become more connected than ever before. What once seemed impossible is now part of our daily routine. The shift from traditional mass media to transparent, accessible social platforms marks a revolutionary change in how we consume and share information. This digital transformation brings both opportunities and challenges, especially in terms of digital literacy. As society increasingly relies on online content, it becomes crucial that individuals are equipped with the skills to navigate and contribute meaningfully to this space.
Despite the rapid advancement of digital tools, not everyone is fully prepared to harness their potential responsibly. Recognizing this gap, the International Office of UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon took initiative by organizing a substantive workshop titled "Workshop on Capacity Building for Digital Content Creators: Empowering Interns at the International Office to Create Meaningful and Impactful Content for a Globally Connected Audience” (23/07/2025). The event aimed to enhance the digital capabilities of its Global Engagement Team interns, ensuring they are well-prepared to represent the institution on international platforms. As a pioneering unit in international activities at UIN Siber, the International Office remains committed to nurturing globally competent citizens through meaningful experiential learning opportunities.
During the opening session, Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D., emphasized the importance of self-preparation in becoming a world-class cyber university. He highlighted that digital literacy is no longer optional but a critical 21st-century skill. His words resonated deeply, setting the tone for a workshop designed to empower participants with practical knowledge and ethical responsibility. With two experienced speakers: Syarifuddin, S.S., and Intan Pusvitasari, S.T., M.Si., the workshop promised a blend of theoretical insight and hands-on experience, tailored to meet the needs of future digital leaders. His leadership and vision continue to inspire the International Office's commitment to excellence in global engagement.
The first session was led by Mr. Syarifuddin, S.S who delved into the role of social media analysis as part of public communication. He explained how understanding audience behavior and maintaining two-way communication are essential for effective digital engagement. Through live demonstrations using third-party analytics tools, he guided the interns in interpreting data and making informed decisions about content strategy. His approach was both engaging and insightful, filled with humor yet packed with valuable lessons. He stressed the importance of reputation management, reminding everyone that every post reflects not only the individual but also the institution they represent. "Those who fail to read social media, fail to read the times," he said, underlining the need for awareness and adaptability in today's fast-paced digital world.
The second speaker, Mrs. Intan Pusvitasari, shifted the focus to content creation itself, what should be posted, and why? She challenged the interns to think beyond virality and consider the impact of their content. As an influencer with tens of thousands of followers and an accomplished academic, she brought a unique perspective to the table. She emphasized the responsibility that comes with visibility and encouraged participants to create content that is both meaningful and shareable. Through her presentation, she demonstrated how digital content can serve as a powerful tool for global outreach when crafted with intention and integrity.
Adding to the momentous occasion, the International Office also unveiled its new logo during the event, marking a significant milestone in its journey toward global excellence. Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D., explained that this logo represents a revolution rooted in the SDGs and BIMA (Bridging Intelligence, Mindfulness, and Awareness) Framework, a unique approach that signifies wisdom, intellect, and spiritual resonance. He elaborated that the International Office embraces Spiral Cosmology, where ancestral rhythms meet future technology, creating a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation. This philosophical foundation reflects the office's commitment to non-linear growth that balances campus needs, global society, and internationalization efforts.
Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D. also shared that this new logo concept has been communicated to Prof. Rudolf Wirawan from the University of Adelaide, Australia, as the original proponent of the BIMA Framework. This collaboration demonstrates the International Office's commitment to maintaining strong international connections while developing its unique identity. The team members were visibly excited about being part of this historic moment, understanding that the new logo represents not just a visual identity, but a philosophy of growth and global engagement. Many interns expressed pride in working for an office that continuously evolves and embraces both traditional wisdom and modern innovation.
The combination of the capacity-building workshop and the logo launch created an atmosphere of celebration and forward momentum within the International Office. Many interns shared how the sessions had shifted their perspective on digital content creation, moving from simply posting for engagement to crafting meaningful narratives that resonate with global audiences. The positive energy and renewed motivation among the interns demonstrated the workshop's success in achieving its goal of building capacity and fostering digital excellence within the International Office team.
