Cirebon, 25 July 2025 — The International Office of UIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, led by Director Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D., held a comprehensive coordination meeting with members of the Global Engagement Team (GET) to refine key strategies for the Syekh Nurjati Global Excellent Scholarship (SN-GES). The session was focused on building the foundation for upcoming activities under SN-GES and preparing the institution for broader international collaboration. Among the priorities was a strategic meeting with the university’s planning and rectorate teams, aimed at aligning visions for SN-GES implementation and expansion in the coming academic year.
In the internal discussion, the International Office also evaluated the system for SN-GES 2026. Five new conceptual directions were proposed for next year’s program, ensuring that future initiatives remain innovative, inclusive, and globally relevant. These concepts are expected to optimize the impact of the SN-GES scholarship and further position UIN SSC as a center for international academic excellence. “Our strategy must support our mission to attract the best global talents while staying transparent and efficient,” Lala Bumela Sudimanta, Ph,D., emphasized during the meeting. The team discussed mechanisms to ensure sustainable funding.
The agenda also covered an ongoing partnership with Global Katalyst. After a successful initial collaboration, the International Office is now preparing for a next meeting with the organization to explore follow-up programs and deeper institutional cooperation. The discussion included planning strategic appointments with several external stakeholders. These meetings aim to open more doors for global networking and ensure that internationalization efforts at UIN SSC are supported by strong, long-term partnerships.
To ensure continuous improvement, the International Office also conducted a brief internal evaluation of recent activities. The team identified key takeaways from previous events and agreed to implement improvements in coordination and execution for future programs. These reflections will help strengthen the office’s operational capacity and event readiness moving forward.
Looking ahead, preparations for AsiaCALL 2025 are already in progress. The International Office is mobilizing its internal team to ensure the upcoming event meets international standards and showcases UIN SSC’s commitment to global academic engagement. With strong leadership and structured planning, AsiaCALL is expected to become one of the university’s major contributions to the international academic community this year.
Under the guidance of Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D., the International Office remains committed to driving forward UIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon’s vision for internationalization. By focusing on innovation, partnerships, and continuous improvement, the team is paving the way for a more connected and impactful global presence.
