Cirebon, July 23, 2025 — The International Office of UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon (UINSSC) has undergone a remarkable transformation over the years, establishing itself as a beacon of global excellence in higher education. From its humble beginnings to becoming a pivotal bridge connecting the university with prestigious institutions worldwide, the office has consistently demonstrated unwavering commitment to internationalization.
Central to the International Office's success has been its extensive network of international partnerships that span across continents. Through International Office, UINSSC has forged strong collaborations with renowned institutions such as WIFOG Germany, AeU Malaysia, ICCCM (International Cultural Communication Center Malaysia), etc. In Australia, partnerships with prestigious universities including the University of New South Wales, University of Adelaide, Queensland University, and Charles Darwin University have opened doors to countless academic exchanges and research opportunities. These relationships have not only enhanced the university's global reputation but have also played as one of the crucial roles in achieving the prestigious "Unggul (Excellent)” accreditation, a recognition of the institution's exceptional quality and standards.

However, after achieving the prestigious "Unggul" accreditation, the International Office continues to set its sights on even greater heights, demonstrating that excellence is a continuous journey rather than a final destination. The International Office's commitment to transcending current achievements is reflected in its ongoing efforts to expand international partnerships, develop innovative programs, and create impactful initiatives that elevate the university's global presence. This philosophy of continuous improvement and ambition drives the office to pursue goals that go far beyond conventional measures of success, ensuring that UINSSC remains at the forefront of international academic excellence.
The International Office has been instrumental in organizing and facilitating numerous international programs that have enriched the academic experience of students and faculty alike. Through faculty development initiatives, joint research projects, and international conferences, the office has created a vibrant ecosystem of global learning. These activities have not only broadened the horizons of participants but have also fostered cross-cultural understanding and academic excellence. The office's commitment to capacity building is evident in its regular workshops, training sessions, and collaborative projects that prepare the university community for global engagement.

Beyond academic partnerships, the International Office has also been at the forefront of cultural diplomacy and international cooperation. By hosting visiting delegations, organizing cultural exchange events, and participating in international forums, the office has effectively promoted Indonesian Islamic education on the global stage. These efforts have resulted in increased visibility for UINSSC and have attracted international attention to the unique blend of traditional Islamic values and modern academic excellence that the institution represents.
On July 23, 2025, this remarkable journey reached a new milestone as the International Office unveiled its brand-new logo during an offline event held on the 5th floor of the Cyber Building. The occasion also marked the ongoing Workshop on Capacity Building for Digital Content Creators, which featured active participation from student interns of the Global Engagement Team. These interns, who have been integral to the office's digital transformation efforts, were present to witness this historic moment firsthand. The launch was officiated by the Director of the International Office, Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D., whose visionary leadership has been instrumental in the office's success.
Lala Bumela, Ph.D. emphasized that the new logo represents more than just a visual upgrade, it embodies the evolving mission of the International Office. "This logo is a reflection of our renewed commitment to global excellence and mindful diplomacy," he stated during his opening remarks. The logo serves as a symbolic bridge between the institution's rich heritage and its forward-looking aspirations. It encapsulates years of strategic planning, internal discussions, and collaborative input from various stakeholders. The rebranding effort aligns with the International Office's goal to position UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon as a globally recognized institution.
At the heart of the new logo lies the BIMA Framework (Bridging Intelligence, Mindfulness, and Awareness) which has become the guiding principle of all international endeavors. The central element of the logo, the letter "I," stands for "International" and is artistically inspired by the Arabic letter Alif. This choice reflects the beginning of a journey and symbolizes growth, movement, and spiritual foundation. Following the "I," a spiral formation of squares and dots represents the letter "O" for "Office," creating a meaningful visual connection between the two core components of the International Office's identity. The use of gold and silver colors further underscores the values of noble diplomacy and technological advancement.
The spiral arrangement of squares and dots creates a dynamic visual flow that symbolizes conscious global motion and the continuous evolution of ideas. This design merges ancestral wisdom with futuristic innovation, highlighting the balance between tradition and modernity. The non-linear structure of the spiral reflects the dynamic nature of international collaboration and sustainable development. Typography plays a critical role in conveying the identity of the International Office. The words "INTERNATIONAL OFFICE" are rendered in a bold, modern font with clean lines and subtle shadows. This design choice reflects professionalism, clarity, and openness, values that the office holds dear in its dealings with both local and international communities.
International partners were quick to acknowledge and appreciate the new branding. Lala Bumela, Ph.D. shared the news with Professor Rudolf Wirawan from the University of Adelaide, Australia, who is a pivotal figure of the BIMA Framework. Prof. Rudolf responded warmly, expressing his admiration for how thoughtfully the framework had been integrated into the visual identity. His positive feedback reinforces the strong collaborative ties that have long existed between UIN Siber and institutions like AeU Malaysia, ICCCM, WIFOG Germany, and several universities in Australia such as UNSW, Queensland University, and Charles Darwin University. The International Office has also established meaningful connections with many other global institutions, creating a vast network of academic and cultural exchange that continues to expand.
The logo launch was a declaration of purpose and a reaffirmation of the International Office's commitment to innovation, diplomacy, and sustainable transformation. With this new emblem, UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon signals its readiness to step confidently into the future, rooted in wisdom and driven by a clear sense of direction. The involvement of the Global Engagement Team highlights the importance of nurturing young talent who will carry forward the university's international vision. Notably, the new logo was conceptualized and designed by the talented interns of the Global Engagement Team themselves, showcasing their creativity and deep understanding of the office's mission and values. As the International Office continues to grow, this logo will serve as a constant reminder of where it has come from and where it is headed. The spiral "O" not only completes the acronym but also represents the endless possibilities that lie ahead in the International Office's global journey.
