The International Office of UINSSC Supports Global Collaboration Ahead of the 22nd International Conference (AsiaCALL 2025)
Cirebon, July 14th 2025 ─ The Director of the International Office, Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph. D., recently led a key preparation meeting with the main team of the AsiaCALL International Conference 2025. The meeting brought together prominent figures from across the globe, including Professor Andrew Lian, President of AsiaCALL from Suranaree University of Technology, Thailand; Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Vietnam; Professor Emeritus University of Canberra, Australia and Dr. Ania Lian, as a Vice President of Research and Innovation of AsiaCALL and Senior Lecturer (eq. Associate Professor) in Education (Teaching and Learning), Charles Darwin University, Australia. Also present a representative colleague from UIN Palangkaraya, Luqman Baehaqi, Ph. D.
The event will be hosted by Universitas Islam Negeri Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon (UINSSC), Indonesia, marking a significant milestone in the university’s international engagement. “We are honored to be hosting such a respected academic gathering,” said Lala Bumela, Ph. D., emphasizing the importance of the conference for UINSSC and the broader academic community.
The meeting covered several key topics related to the organization of the AsiaCALL2025 conference. Discussions began with planning the flight arrangements and accommodation for keynote speakers coming from countries such as Vietnam, Japan, Malaysia, and Australia. The team also finalized the overall event schedule, which includes a pre-conference workshop on 14th November 2025, followed by the main conference on 15th and 16th November that focusing on “AI in Language Education: Opportunities, Challenges, and Future Directions”.
The participants from around the world will gather to explore the integration of artificial intelligence in language teaching and learning. The events are open to all interested individuals—including academic staff, researchers, lecturers, and students—who wish to submit an abstract or full paper or simply join the discussions. This year’s conference theme focuses on the multifaceted role of artificial intelligence in language teaching and learning.
