At the core of this collaborative effort was the International Office, led by Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D., and Ivo Dinasta Yanuar, M.Appling, who played a key role in orchestrating the event and fostering meaningful academic partnerships.

The main speaker was Mr. Doddy Kadarisman, MBA, from Global Katalyst Germany. He explained that Global Katalyst (GK) is a non-profit group started by four young Indonesians. Their goal is to help Indonesian students find education and training opportunities abroad, especially in Germany. One popular program is called Ausbildung, a vocational training program that fits well with fields like management, industrial engineering, and nursing. Mr. Doddy said, “We want to create a global learning community that supports young Indonesians to grow and succeed worldwide.

The International Office at UIN SSC sees this workshop as more than just a talk—it’s a real step forward to connect UIN SSC’s programs with global education. Working together with Global Katalyst and their German partners, the university is opening doors for students to do internships abroad, get their studies recognized internationally, and have chances to continue their education overseas.

An exciting part of this partnership is the upcoming German language courses to be held at UIN SSC, which are a direct result of the collaboration between the International Office and Global Katalyst. These courses aim to prepare students better for opportunities like Ausbildung and other academic paths in Germany.

Mr. Doddy also talked about how important it is for students to plan their careers early. He encouraged students to consider different paths, including vocational training like Ausbildung, which is gaining more recognition around the world. This fits well with the International Office’s goal to prepare UIN SSC students with the skills and knowledge they need to compete globally.

The workshop also highlighted the need for a good system to track graduates’ progress, so the university can keep improving its programs to match what the world of work needs. The International Office promised to keep offering more support for students, like language courses, soft skills training, and mentoring programs with international experts.

Not just for students, this workshop gave ideas to lecturers and academic advisors on how to help students think globally and prepare for international opportunities. The International Office is also planning to start mentoring programs where students can get advice directly from professionals abroad.

By holding this workshop, the International Office of UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon shows it’s serious about helping the university go global. The partnership with Global Katalyst and their German partners is the first step in building strong, lasting connections that give students real chances to learn and work internationally. For UIN SSC students, this means more opportunities and a brighter future beyond Indonesia.
