UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon Conducts Interviews for International Student Applicants, 29 Candidates Advance to the Interview Stage

CIREBON (Agnia Nurkhasanah) – Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon conducted the interview stage for international student applicants as part of the International Cyber Scholarship admission process for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. The interviews were held online and attended by 24 applicants who had successfully passed the administrative screening.

The applicants came from several countries, including Pakistan, Egypt, and Yemen. The interview stage was designed to assess the candidates’ academic potential, motivation to study, and readiness to pursue higher education at UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon.

The 24 applicants were distributed across four faculties. The Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FITK) had the largest number of candidates, with nine applicants. It was followed by the Faculty of Sharia (FASYA) with six applicants, the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Adab (FUAD) with six applicants, and the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) with three applicants.

During the interviews, panels from each faculty evaluated the applicants’ communication skills, academic backgrounds, and commitment to studying at UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. The interview stage also helped assess each candidate’s readiness to adapt to Indonesia’s academic environment and cultural setting.

The interviews were conducted through a video conferencing platform, allowing applicants from different countries to participate remotely without traveling to the campus. Each candidate had the opportunity to explain their motivation, academic goals, and the contributions they hope to make during their studies at UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon.

Through the implementation of the interview stage, UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon continues to demonstrate its commitment to ensuring a transparent, objective, and high-quality admission process for international students. The International Cyber Scholarship program is expected to strengthen the university’s internationalization efforts while fostering a more diverse academic community through the participation of students from various countries.
