UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon Set to Launch Double-Track Program in Collaboration with Global Katalyst e.V
Cirebon, July 2025 — UIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon continues to pave the way in international education with its latest initiative: the Double Track Program. Originally scheduled for August 1, 2025, the official launching has been postponed to either August 2 or 3 to avoid overlap with a high-level visit by Prof. Mayla, Director of the International Office from UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The event is set to begin at 14.00 WIB and will be held via Zoom, though an offline option remains open depending on logistical feasibility at the UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon campus. Final confirmation of the date is currently being coordinated between the International Office and Global Katalyst, with implementation of program components such as language classes and stakeholder briefings to follow immediately after the release of the Rector’s Decree (SK Rektor).
The preparation meeting was attended by key figures from across the university. Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D., Director of the International Office, led the session alongside Ghina Amaliyah Sholihah, S.Sos., a member of the International Office team. Wahyono, M.Pd.I., Head of the Career Development Center, Representing the Language Development Center (UPT Bahasa), Dr. Nana Priajana contributed perspectives on curriculum alignment and language training. Ms. Nurul Aini and Ms. Wanti and other representatives from Global Katalyst also participated actively, offering administrative and operational support during the planning process.
In preparation for the launch, a comprehensive briefing session will be conducted to ensure all stakeholders fully understand the mechanisms and administrative flow of the Double Track Program. Scheduled for Monday, July 14, 2025, from 13.00 to 15.00 WIB, this training will be hosted online via Zoom, with links provided by Global Katalyst. Participants will include principals of senior high schools across Cirebon, representatives from Global Katalyst, and key personnel from UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon responsible for program execution. The session will cover essential topics such as program management, administrative procedures, and effective communication strategies for engaging with students and partner institutions.
To support the successful delivery of the German language component, a core element of the Double Track Program adequate facilities are being prepared on campus. Two classrooms accommodating up to 20 participants each are required, complete with projectors, whiteboards, and other necessary tools. Additionally, one dedicated space for instructors is planned, featuring seating and amenities for preparation and rest. These facility requirements are currently awaiting final approval from the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs. Once confirmed, the spaces will serve as central hubs for immersive language learning and cultural orientation ahead of student placements abroad.
As part of its Badan Layanan Umum (BLU) status, UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon is authorized to implement service-based fees for non-academic programs that require operational funding. For the German Language Course, the fee structure includes instructor honoraria, module development and printing, licensing of materials, and official certification. All proposed tariffs are based on cost analysis and benchmarking with similar BLU universities. A draft of the final pricing model will be presented in the next meeting for review and formal approval by the Vice Rector for Finance and Assets. This approach ensures transparency while maintaining high-quality standards for participating students.
The international curriculum and teaching modules for the German language course have already been finalized and are ready for implementation. Only the confirmation of classroom availability remains before full-scale instruction can begin. Designed to align with international proficiency standards, the curriculum emphasizes practical conversation, academic writing, and workplace communication, preparing students not only for study but also for future professional opportunities in Germany and beyond. The modular format allows for flexibility, catering to both beginners and advanced learners within the Double Track framework.
To accommodate diverse participant backgrounds, the Double Track Program will offer two distinct pathways. The Credit Transfer Track is designed for current university students who have completed relevant coursework and achieved strong academic performance, allowing them to bypass certain modules and proceed directly to placement. Meanwhile, the Regular Track is open to graduates and new applicants who will undergo the full sequence of training from start to finish. Both tracks aim to produce globally competitive individuals equipped with language skills, intercultural competence, and real-world experience.
With the program framework now well-established, the International Office is prepared to schedule a follow-up meeting if further technical discussions or adjustments are needed. This flexible approach ensures that all stakeholders remain aligned and that the rollout remains smooth and impactful. As UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon moves forward with this groundbreaking initiative, it reaffirms its commitment to global education, innovation, and empowering students to thrive on the world stage.
