UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon Strengthens Commitment for SN-GES Awardees 2024 Through Renewal Contract
Cirebon, 8 September 2025 – The International Office of UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon held a Renewal Contract Meeting with the Syekh Nurjati Global Excellence Scholarship (SN-GES) Awardees 2024, reaffirming the academic and behavioral commitments required throughout their study period. The session was led by Lala Bumela Sudimantara Ph.D., the director of International Office, emphasized that all regulations were reinforced under the direct instruction of the Rector, highlighting the university’s commitment to discipline, responsibility, and academic excellence.
The meeting highlighted several key points. Academic performance remained the top priority, with a clear disclaimer on maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.25 throughout the study period. Students were reminded that falling below this standard could result in serious consequences, including the termination of their scholarship benefits.
Health and safety measures were also addressed, particularly regarding insurance coverage. Students were informed about the importance of compliance with regulations to ensure that they remain fully protected under the university’s health and safety system. Behavioral guidelines extended beyond academics. The International Office firmly prohibited students from joining organizations or activities deemed politically sensitive or potentially disruptive, underscoring that international students are expected to focus on their academic and spiritual growth. To reinforce this, a strict residency requirement in the Ma’had al-Jami’ah for the full four years of study was restated. This regulation is intended to nurture discipline, spiritual focus, and a supportive community environment.
Concluding the session, the director of International Office UIN SSC, Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D., reminded students that the renewal contract is not merely an administrative formality, but a commitment to excellence and integrity. As a final step, all of the awardees extended their commitment by signing the renewal contract documents provided by the International Office, formally acknowledging the regulations and responsibilities outlined during the session. With these clear expectations—backed by the Rector’s directives—UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon continues to uphold its mission of fostering academic achievement and holistic student development for all international scholars.
