UINSSC Elevates Global Presence: International Office Leads Global Engagement Team Students to Excellence at the 22nd AsiaCALL International Conference 2025 Under the Leadership of Lala Bumela, Ph.D.
Cirebon, November 16, 2025 – Under the leadership of Lala Bumela, Ph.D., Director of the International Office of UIN SSC and President of the AsiaCALL International Conference 2025 Executive Board, UIN SSC proudly celebrated a milestone as its GET students—serving as committee, participants, and presenters—presented at the prestigious 22nd AsiaCALL International Conference 2025. Representing UIN SSC with excellence were Cyrila Azzahra Tsania, Indah Fitri Nurhidayah, Resa Diah Gayatri, Farah Syifa, Muhammad Azkiya, Shofiatul Faqriyah, Maulida Rahma, Mitsni Uswatun, and Indra Maulana. Their presentations were delivered in front of nine distinguished international professors, including Prof. Andrew P. Lian (Thailand & Australia), Assoc. Prof. Hassan Khosravi (Australia), Prof. Shameem Rafik-Galea (Malaysia), Dr. Ania Lian (Australia), Prof. Jeremy White (Japan), Assoc. Prof. Pham Vu Phi Ho (Vietnam), Made Hery Santosa, Ph.D. (Indonesia), Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D. (Indonesia), and Luqman Baehaqi, Ph.D. (Indonesia). In his opening message, Lala Bumela, Ph.D. stated, “Our students stand today not only as presenters, but as innovators shaping the global future of AI-enhanced pedagogy.” This moment established the emotional focus, capturing the pride, ambition, and intellectual courage present in UIN SSC’s international journey.
The 22nd AsiaCALL Conference carried the theme “AI in Language Education: Opportunities, Challenges, and Future Directions,” reflecting global discussions on digital transformation in ELT under the Asia Association of Computer-Assisted Language Learning. Distinguished keynote speakers expanded these conversations with critical insights into AI’s pedagogical, ethical, and technological dimensions. Throughout the conference, GET—actively contributing as committee, participants, and presenters—engaged in the academic discourse that aligned with AsiaCALL’s thematic mission and demonstrated strong intellectual readiness.
